MATTHEW MILÈO CAPTURES THE ESSENCE OF DREAMY DESTINATIONS WITH HIS NEW COLLECTION OF ORGANIC OILS.
BY PHEBE WAHL, JULY ISSUE 2018
“Only rare and ethically sourced flowers, seeds, and resins from around the world are used for their skin-transforming benefits, and luxe sensorial experience,” says Matthew Milèo of his debut Milèo collection of organic, chemical-free oils (mileonewyork.com) that marry skincare and fragrance. (The founder summers in Southhampton and teaches yoga at Donna Karan’s Hamptons compound.)
Inspired by the maze gardens at Versailles, Labyrinthe Vert ($150) refines the skin with French violet flower leaf.
The nourishing Maroc D’Azur ($175), inspired by the blue-colored city of Chefchaouen, Morocco, plumps the skin with phytosterols and natural squalene while Moroccan blue tansy flower creates an instant softness.
Formulated with the radiant Amber Palace in Jaipur, India, in mind, Amber Fort ($225), exfoliates and energizes dull skin with a brightening blend including Indian pink lotus petal.
The glimmering sunsets of Corsica inspired Monte D’Oro ($250), which repairs skin overnight thanks to a precious blend featuring golden Corsican immortelle flower.
